When not perched on my workspace, I tremendously enjoy hiking in the bushes and climbing mountains. They serve as much-needed refuges from the pretense of cities.

There’s no need for a separate plugin if you’re using the built-in WordPress Custom Menu feature. Read through the link Ken provided above carefully and you’ll be able to figure it out.

The default thumbnail size is 150×150 pixels. If you use images smaller than this as the featured image, the theme won’t upscale them. But since you’re using Jetpack’s Photon, it actually upscales the image (dunno why it does this). If you still want to use the small-sized image, either disable Photon or edit the image so that it has transparent 150×150 pixels with transparent filler.

In Graphene Options, in the right hand side there’s an “Options Presets” box. Select “Reset to default settings” and click “Apply Options Preset”.

You will need to use a child theme for this as WPML does not add any unique CSS classes for each of the language.

Looks like your original featured image is too small (40×39 pixels):

Since you’re new to the theme, the theme’s Documentation Wiki might be useful to you.

Have you tried resetting the theme’s options?
