Please place code between backticks. (Located on the “~” key on some/most computers.) Thanks!
I don’t see a child theme loaded on your site. Did you upload it and activate it?

The grey sliver is not a grey sliver. It is actually the border around your avatars. There is no link to the avatar image at all, nor is there a closing
</img>tag.The gravatars come from *.gravatar.com. It’s possible that your IP blocking is also blocking importing of the gravatar images.

I don’t really do e-commerce regularly, but I have used Paypal to create buttons for purchasing things and they’ve always worked fine without messing up my theme, even the “add to shopping cart” button.

Done.

Not all web hosts allow users to have access to their .htaccess file, so a plugin is a good idea!

The slider would need to pull posts and images from a different database to the one it is assigned, so it would need to know (and know how to submit) a MYSQL username and password. I don’t know of a slider that can do that.

Did you add a custom function to your child theme’s

WooCommerce (and other estore plugins) can sometimes be a pain. You might want to look at this thread on the WordPress forum, which lists several possible solutions:
At least one person found each of those to work. Try one at a time and let us know what works; if you find something that sort of works, we may be able to help you tweak it.

Yep. Download an old version, unzip it, and then download the “Graphene” folder inside that folder to your WordPress themes folder.
There are actually two folders involved here. The first one is called “Graphene – version number” and the one inside that is just called “graphene”. It’s the inside one that you want to upload, or else the theme won’t be available. This is how WP organizes things, including plugins. I think this actually throws a lot of people off.
But you might want to wait a few days to see if there is a 1.6 update available.
