Slider Stretch across whole Container?
-
I was wondering if it’s possible in the Graphene theme to make a slider (e.g. Promotion Slider) stretch across the whole container (without padding left or right) under the header menu.
Here’s an example:

Here’s my site:
I know I can do it by removing the padding in the stylesheet, but I don’t want to remove it on all pages.
Thanks for all your help!!!
ModYes, this is possible, and has been discussed often in this forum. Just search for “slider full-width” or something similar.
As for the front page, you can make any css changes you want affect only the home page by prefacing them with
.home
. Thus.home p {style info}
would only affect paragraphs on the home page.
ModAlso, moved to Support.
Sorry for posting in wrong area, and repeating old requests!!
I’m still having a problem though, that I see others have unresolved as well:
The featured image is tiled weird, even though I uploaded images the exact same size as the slider. Also, when I add
}
.full-sized .slider_post {
width: 100%;
}so that the each slide is shown full-width, it no longer automatically slides
Example:
Thanks for all your help!
ModWell, the images you are using are 640px wide. Your slider is 940px wide. Hence, tiled background images in the slider. You need wider images.
The images I’m using are 960px wide. Here’s a direct link to one of the images:

ModUmmm…I hate to disagree with you, but the two images in the slider are:

and

ModDid you add a custom function to your child theme’s
functions.php
file?
