Hurm..on second thought you probably won’t want to use the latest build on a production site..quite a lot of experimental stuffs are going on as of now.

However, you could try updating just the theme’s category.php and style.css files. You can get them here:

    http://code.google.com/p/graphene/source/browse/trunk/graphene/category.php

    http://code.google.com/p/graphene/source/browse/trunk/graphene/style.css

If something goes horribly wrong, you can always revert back to the latest stable version, 1.3.1, which is available at WordPress.org themes repository.

That’s the slider which by default displays your latest posts. Since your site has no posts, only pages, thus it’s displaying nothing.

Take a look at the available options in WP Admin > Appearance > Graphene Options > Slider Options

That’s probably because it’s not compatible with that version of WordPress. 2.7 is such an old version…why don’t you install the latest version, 3.1.3?

The theme doesn’t handle content – it just presents it. WordPress handles all the content and backend. You would have to create a custom script that can import the existing content from the database into WordPress as pages/posts.

Probably in about a month’s time, beta testing period included. But of course, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can try out the latest development version any time you want.

Edited the code to removed the extraneous }.

The next update will enable you to enter a description for each category, and the theme will display it in the category archive page.

Try using the Widget Logic plugin. I think it’s a much better solution than registering a whole lot of different sets of widget areas.

I’m now rebuilding all my pages as my codes are not compatible with the new version of the graphene.

Why and how are your codes not compatible with the new version of Graphene?

That must have been added by one of the plugins you’re using. Try seeing if that plugin has any option to exclude inserting codes into excerpts.

As for the social media icons, you can download the png icon to your computer, then upload it to your server using WP Admin > Media > Add New. Then you can use the URL of the uploaded png icon.
