Unwanted blank rectangle only on the front page.

Things have been going along very well until I set up my static front page. Only on this page do I see a blank (white) rectangle that sits below the menu and above the page text. Any ideas what is happening?

That’s the slider which by default displays your latest posts. Since your site has no posts, only pages, thus it’s displaying nothing.

Take a look at the available options in WP Admin > Appearance > Graphene Options > Slider Options

I see that you have a good menu with submenus… How do you install this?
