When not perched on my workspace, I tremendously enjoy hiking in the bushes and climbing mountains. They serve as much-needed refuges from the pretense of cities.

OK, let’s try all this once again.
- Deactivate all mobile detector plugins.
- Make sure Graphene theme is the active theme in WP Admin > Appearance > Themes.
- Make sure that Graphene Mobile is installed, but not activated in WP Admin > Appearance > Themes.
- Activate Mobile Smart plugin. Go to WP Admin > Settings > Mobile Smart, and set Graphene Mobile as the mobile theme.
Let me know when you’ve done exactly that and nothing else so that I can take a look.

If you have WP Mobile Detector, don’t use Mobile Smart, or vice versa. Use one or the other, but never both. Also, make sure that you don’t activate the mobile theme, as the mobile detector plugin will do this for you when it detects mobile devices. You should only activate your main desktop main, Graphene in this case.

Try resetting the Graphene Options using one of the panels on the right side of the theme’s options page. You may want to export your settings first so that you can import it back later if resetting the settings doesn’t fix it.

Seems like you’ve switched to another mobile plugin for your site. Can’t help you if we can’t see the issue.

@HeatherAnne, you’ve disabled the slider on the home page. Enable it again so that we can take a look.
Quote:I proofed in WP the Updates. 1.8.2 is my installed version of graphene. So it should be the latest version. You are not using the latest version of the theme, at least not what appears on the front end. If you were, the font in the widget headers as well as the slider navigation buttons would be different than what is displayed on your site. If you’re using any caching plugin at all, be it from within WP or on your server, disable those or clear their cache.

Quote:Do you put the rtl file in the child theme as well?Your site is not using RTL (right-to-left) languages, so there’s no need to copy create
rtl.cssin your child theme.Quote:When editing the css now, after I fix the child theme css and upload, is it ok to use the custom css feature/box in the options section? You can always use the Custom CSS feature, but whatever you put in there will not be added to your child theme’s style.css file. Instead, it will be added to the site’s
<head>element dynamically on every page load. It’ll work, but will add a tiny bit of extra page size to your pages.Admin
This is the same issue as this topic:
https://forum.graphene-theme.com/graphene-support/my-slider-has-stopped-working-stressed
And you’re not using the latest version of Graphene. Update to the latest version and the issue should be resolved.

It looks like you have copied all the code in the theme’s style.css into your child theme’s style.css file. Do not do this. It’ll cause a lot of trouble, including the one you mentioned above.
Please see this documentation page on child theme for more details, and the correct way to create a child theme:
