When not perched on my workspace, I tremendously enjoy hiking in the bushes and climbing mountains. They serve as much-needed refuges from the pretense of cities.

Quote:Today, small mobile phones are not so common, as big smart phones with touch. Therefore, the website will look better, in original appearance. (Pictures slider. etc.)
I have to disagree with the second line there. Even big smartphones have a screen size of about 6″, which is tiny compared to common monitor sizes (19″ – 27″). It is unlikely that your reader will be able to read the text on the website and navigate properly without having to zoom in. Imagine having to “press” on the navigation menu item of the desktop theme with relatively “fat” fingers.
Quote:Is it possible to make the setting “off” to default? Not sure, you would have to ask the mobile plugin developer for that. Or don’t use the plugin at all.

Quote:I have a slider set up which is above the content column and sidebar 2 column. I have managed to lower the sidebar 2 so it appears under the slider next to the content column. I did this by using coding from the support forum. This feature is built into Graphene 1.8. Try removing the your custom codes and use the theme’s feature. You may also need to rebuild the thumbnail of your existing images if you plan to use any of the images in the slider.

Quote:I’m just wondering, why use mobile settings “on” when the page is displayed perfectly in “off”?Mobile themes are optimised for the small screens of mobile devices. If you display the desktop site on mobile devices, your users will have to frequently zoom in and out , scroll sideways, etc. to read the text and navigate around the site.

Use the Action Hooks Widget Areas.

In reply to: How to edit information displayed on left side of image-based posts?
January 6, 2013 at 2:02 am #34800If the image has a caption, it will be displayed to the left of the image where you circled it in the screenshot above. See this post for example:
https://forum.graphene-theme.com/demonstrations/moeraki-boulders/
You can add caption to images in WP when inserting that image into the post:

Or since you’re not using the menu description, you can simply disable it in Graphene Options > Display > Navigation Menu Display Option > Disable description in Header Menu.

The error message tells us which file the issue originates from, in this case:
Quote:Warning: Missing argument 2 for wpdb::prepare(), called in /home/content/60/9540360/html/wp-content/plugins/newsflow/functions.php on line 27 and defined in /home/content/60/9540360/html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 990which is the
functions.phpfile inside thenewsflowplugin folder. If the plugin does not have a dedicated support forum, you can always go to the plugin’s page in WordPress and click on the “Support” tab.

That RSS icon is for your user to subscribe to your site’s feeds, which makes it easier for content syndication. If you want to remove it, you’ll have to use a child theme for the mobile theme. This post may be of help to you:

Let me know when you’ve configured the child theme for the mobile theme.

This is definitely an issue with the newsflow plugin, not the theme. Try asking the plugin’s author about it?
