I made the exact same experience as Skivey did. After working a lot with Graphene v1, which had already a ton of useful functions, I switched to Genesis because one of my clients had multiple sites with Genesis and honestly – I got used to this frame work pretty fast. Having said that I also admit that Graphene has always been in the back of my mind when it comes to developing something more creative, more functional and easier to design.
Long story short: After an older Graphene site broke I had to go into v2 and was simply amazed.
Strong and robust, super easy to maintain and endless possibilities from fonts and colors, layouts and sizes to functions and hooks. Simply stunning! So I switched back to Graphene and I’m glad I did. Life is a bit easier again…:-)

I was running 1.7 on an older WP install when I discovered the issue. Did the unsuccessful testing on a fresh install (WP 4.6.1, PHP 5.6) with the same version.

Syahir: I can email you a temp wo-login if it helps.

Nope. Didn’t work. I tried:

-like you said

-uninstalled / re-installed GM Neo

-saved the key again

-installed GM NEO on a fresh install etc.

Results were the same, couldn’t update. Simple work around for the time being is to download the latest version 1.8.9 from the download area. I’ll try to insert the key manually into the database later. Will keep you posted.

Thanks Syahir. Now, as of today I can’t update GM Neo at all to 1.8.9.

Same problem here except I purchased GM Neo about 2 years ago. Updates had never been a problem but recently it behaves the same as deboismenu describes.

Hi Dave.

The problem solved itself since my client went for a different theme. I am running 50+ sites with Graphene. If I come across the same problem again I will certainly let you know.

Thanks Syahir. The child theme makes total sense. I added the following to the child theme’s function.php and it worked.

function franz_remove_credit(){

global $franz_settings;

$franz_settings['disable_credit'] = true;

}

add_action( 'template_redirect', 'franz_remove_credit' );

Found my mistake. I commented something out…just not the right way. Now everything works. Graphene is good, life’s good, Luko is good..:-) Thanks again.
