That’s perfect, thank you!

December 24, 2019 at 9:29 am #51237Hello Syahir! Thank you for your response.
Since I did not know how to eliminate the Featured Image from Graphene Mobile, I worked around it by inserting that narrow gradation of color as a featured image. I’m happy with the result, but still have the question – can I prevent GMobile from insisting on a Featured Image?
Have a good holiday season and talk soon,
LanceOMG Kenneth! I wouldn’t dream of it! (Nor would I know how! LOL!)
WHAMM! That did it! Thank you Sharon! Take a look: http://www.virtuousbicycle.com/BlogSpace/privatebikinglessons/
You know, it was really helpful the way you directed me to the correct location in the dashboard to do this. I had been mucking about in Appearance:Custom CSS and not having any luck at all, and this just worked on the first try.
I’m going to look at Prasanna’s tutorial and template. That sounds like a good way to get oriented.
btw, your smoothie site is so pretty! nice job! (and MMmmmm! looks good!)
Best,
Lance

Yes, with Syahir’s help on the installation this issue is resolved.
Other set up mysteries have been resolved as well and I’m happy with how my site looks on Mobile.
I did have trouble finding where to look for various settings for Graphene Mobile, but searching around in the forums and on Google solved my riddles (as it usually does)
My suggestion to Graphene is to create an introductory page with some basic concepts that a non-technical user will need. Not that I’m a moron, but I’m not a programmer and there’s only so much learning curve I’m willing to climb.
All in all my experience with getting the mobile version up and running was not that bad.
Thanks Syahir,
Lance
VirtuousBicycle.com
found in a two-year old post on WordPress.org forum:
As for the setting you’re looking for, it’s in WP Admin > Appearance > Graphene Mobile > Display > Posts Display Options > Hide automatic image at the top of posts.
resolved.
Ok, Jetpack problem resolved. As I’ve found in searching around, ICDsoft host blocks Jetpack unless I specifically allow it. I contacted support and they fixed it. Very good support at ICD.
I will continue to try to fix the installation of the Graphine Mobile theme and report back.
I’m in touch with Syahir Hakim from Graphene and he’s going to help me.
Thanks,
Lance
New problem – On re-activating jetpack, I’m getting a “site_inaccessible” error:
Error Details: The Jetpack server was unable to communicate with your site [HTTP 412]. Ask your web host if they allow connections from WordPress.com. If you need further assistance, contact Jetpack Support: http://jetpack.me/support/
clicking on Connect to WordPress.com just brings me back to the error page.
Uhggg. i’m sorry I went down this path. My JetPack has been trusted friend for so long and now Jetpack is broken.
Thanks Kenneth. I’m going to disable the Mobile Smart plug and turn on my regular plug-ins for now so that my site is functional.
How do I follow the thread where you’ve moved it to? Isn’t this the Graphene Mobile support forum?
thanks
Lance
