When not perched on my workspace, I tremendously enjoy hiking in the bushes and climbing mountains. They serve as much-needed refuges from the pretense of cities.

June 10, 2011 at 9:40 am #14685The latest version (1.3.1) already has the ability for you to add custom buttons. Just update the theme to the latest version.

June 10, 2011 at 12:18 am #14647Don’t think so. The 960×198 image is for the header, which you will need for the proper operation of the WordPress Custom Header feature. Plus, the image will only be resized to that size if it is bigger in dimension. You can always resize images before uploading it.

Sorry mate, you can’t. But it’s easy to learn, easiest among the bunch of codes you need to know to build a website. Give it a try. Here’s a good resource: http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp

safecracker, try updating the theme’s
functions.phpfile with the updated one here: http://graphene.googlecode.com/svn-history/r121/trunk/graphene/functions.phpAdmin
It’s likely to be a script issue. Try replacing the content of the theme’s
functions.phpfile with the updated one here: http://graphene.googlecode.com/svn-history/r120/trunk/graphene/functions.phpAdmin
I think what you want can be achieved by using the Custom Menu feature in WP Admin > Appearance > Menus. You can add links to all sort of content using that custom menu, including pages, posts, categories, tags, etc.
If you don’t see Categories on the left hand side when you’re trying to add a new menu item in the Custom Menu screen, click on the “Screen Options” on the top right corner and tick the “Categories” checkbox.

Simple enough. Option added.

In reply to: Correct process for updating Graphene with a child theme
June 6, 2011 at 10:10 pm #14613Yes. Provided you didn’t edit any of the theme’s files. The theme’s options are stored in the database, so there’s no problem there.
Admin
It’s probably a database issue. Try resetting the theme’s options using the Options Presets.

Looks like you have empty value for the slider’s transition speed. Check the slider options in WP Admin > Appearance > Graphene Options
