When not perched on my workspace, I tremendously enjoy hiking in the bushes and climbing mountains. They serve as much-needed refuges from the pretense of cities.

In that case, you can just replace the
includes/theme-loop.phpandadmin/db-updater.phpfiles with the updated ones here:http://graphene.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/graphene/includes/theme-loop.php

Any entry in colorboxes will NOT be changed (only in the box itself, not on the side)
Your dropdown menu works fine on my end, as does the colour change:
Quote:Change of Head-picture not possible, the picture will not be displayed although it is shown in the preview!Nothing has changed with respect to the header image in the theme, so this shouldn’t be an issue. Try again?
Quote:All pictures inserted in articles are gone after update to 1.8!Same thing. The theme update does not alter the content of posts/pages, so I really don’t see how the theme update can cause this. And I can still see picture in your post:

The update to 1.8 has completely ruined my site and I have to start from the beginning, checking every single side and article, nothing is in place where it should be!

In reply to: Lost "Main content wrapper background" colour after upgrade to V1.8
August 11, 2012 at 9:13 am #31697Quote:BTW, to fix it, I’ve changed the Main content wrapper background to a new colour & hit Save All Options. But as I have other sites to upgrade to 1.8, I thought I’d check in here firstly for reports of this happening with anyone else… not that I can see from a quick search.You’re the first one to report that. Go ahead and update the other sites and let me know if the issue is persistent.
Quote:PS As far as I can see, the only way we can save a colour scheme is through the Import/export theme options. Is there an alternative here, folks? After all, in the Graphene Theme Options screen it says, “When you’ve got the perfect combination, you can even share it with fellow Graphene theme users through the Support Forum.”Not at the moment, no. But I may add this feature in the future.

You might wanna try the WordPress.org support forum as I don’t think this is a theme issue.

Quote:Where would I check to see if I’ve edited the theme?Er… if you can’t remember, it’s probably best to do a backup of your current version of the theme first, just in case.
Quote:where can I locate the most current directions to create a child theme?http://docs.graphene-theme.com/Customisation_using_a_child_theme
Admin
No, you don’t need a child theme to update to version 1.8. But if you have been editing the theme’s files, then those edits will be lost when you update.
Admin
Try this. Open up the theme’s file
admin/db-updater.php, and then remove this line (line 29):graphene_convert_meta();
