When not perched on my workspace, I tremendously enjoy hiking in the bushes and climbing mountains. They serve as much-needed refuges from the pretense of cities.

Check this page out: http://wpml.org/documentation/theme-compatibility/
Graphene is actually one of the earliest themes to sign up for WPML theme compatibility program.
When you install the plugin there’s no menu item for the plugin on the left side of the WP Admin area? If not, you should ask about it from WPML support, since you paid for the plugin.

Quote:2. What are the criteria for the size of the image that needs to be uploaded? At least as big as the slider’s size. Images bigger than that will be resized to fit the slider. Images smaller than that will be left as is and tiled. You can easily remove the tiling via CSS, but that will leave a lot of whitespace in your slider.
Also, I noticed that your slider images are PNG images. This is not the best file type for photos such as those you have for the slider. PNG photos have much, much bigger file size than JPG images for comparable image quality.

Try switching to the default theme and see if the issue still persists.

Quote:I have tried WPML but that is not supported on Graphene? How did you come to that conclusion? We have expressly added additional codes in Graphene just to ensure that it’s as compatible as possible with WPML.

That is the space for AdSense ad. Disable the AdSense ad placement in the Graphene Options > Adsense Options and that space will be gone.

OK, I’ve checked your site and it appears that the theme is working correctly. If you edit the “The Best Unofficial Savant Music Video” post, you’ll see that the harlem shake image was uploaded for that post:

I have tried setting a featured image for that post, and the featured image is displayed as it should for that post by the mobile theme. If no featured image is selected, the theme displays the first image that was uploaded for that post (means the last image in the screenshot above). You can also drag and drop those images and the theme will display whatever image that is positioned last.

Try disabling your plugins to see if any of them is causing the issue.

Maybe try Meteor Slides?

March 18, 2013 at 11:21 am #36736It’s still working fine on my end with your settings. Would you mind giving me WP Admin and FTP access to your site so that I can investigate further? I’m running out of ideas.

I think the only to achieve all that you listed is to use a child theme, and then create a custom template for the front page that loads the latest post. Then use a static front page, and apply that template for the page that is being used as the static front page.
