Just create the functions.php file inside your child theme’s folder, and insert the code you mentioned above into that functions.php file. Make sure you include an opening <?php tag before the code and closing ?> tag after the code.

Firstly, please use paragraph next time you post in this forum. One huge chunk of text is really hard to read!

The fixed width is just a little bit to big now for my whole site my subpages names on the last link on my navigation bar are running of the page.. I guess if I could change the fixed width of the entire site back to what it was in 1.1.4 that would help..

It looks fine to me…maybe you could provide a screenshot?

The theme now supports thumbnail in excerpt natively, so you can deactivate the Thumbnail for Excerpt plugin that you’re using.

Erm..not really..unless you disable the child pages listing. This is because the sidebar’s HTML comes after the content’s HTML, so the content’s HTML is loaded first. Unless if you put the sidebar to the left.
