When not perched on my workspace, I tremendously enjoy hiking in the bushes and climbing mountains. They serve as much-needed refuges from the pretense of cities.

The custom background feature is provided by WordPress, and not the theme.
Other than that, see this page on how to stretch the background using CSS:

Did you just update the theme? How did you implement the customisations? Also, please provide a link to your site so that we can take a look.

In reply to: How can I change the height of the main navigation menu
February 20, 2013 at 3:18 am #35861Both of what you listed above can be achieved using custom css codes, either inserted into the theme’s Custom CSS option, or into your child theme’s style.css file.

Quote:Is there any way to change the developer text itself without editing the child theme? You can use the Codestyling Localization plugin, but that would be an overkill for this.
Why not just change some of the labels to be shorter, like changin “Friends of F.M. Light and Sons” to just “Our Friends”?

The colour palettes only give you a guide on what colour combinations may work well together, they don’t give you the exact colours or shades of colours to use.
A good rule of thumb is to just follow the theme’s colour scheme for shades, e.g. replace darker blues with darker (or more intense) reds, and replace lighter blues with lighter reds. Keeping it like this will give an effect of “switching out” colours.

Do you have any caching plugin installed on your site?

The image will only show if you have a featured image set for that post, or have an image attached (or uploaded) to that post.
Image inserted into the post by selecting from previously-uploaded image from the media gallery will not be displayed. Set that image as the featured image for the post and it will be displayed.

@truegal, create a new topic and post your issue there. Creating a new post on a topic marked as resolved won’t get you many responses.
