Actually, IE8 and IE9 don’t display CSS gradients at all. The same thing happens with the slider on my bookblog. So it’s not really a theme or a plugin issue with regard to that issue.
There are a lot of other sign up widgets out there, though. You might want to try one of those. You can see them in the plugin repository.

Try using an action hook widget area. Here’s a tutorial:

Moved to Support.
What are your slider settings?
What plugins have you installed? Some plugins that also call the jQuery library (which the slider uses) can cause it to not work. You can try disabling plugins one at a time to see if that takes care of the problem.

Well, one option is here: https://forum.graphene-theme.com/graphene-support/how-can-i-add-adsense-to-the-background-image-1
But give me a bit and I’ll have more information for you.

Jon is using an action hook there, but since that post, Syahir has added action hook widgets to Graphene to make it even easier.
Go to Graphene Options >> Advanced >> Action Hook Areas
click on “header.” A list of action hook widget areas will pop down. Click on “graphene_feed_icon”. Scroll to the bottom of the page and save options.
Go to your widgets pane. There is now a “Graphene Feed Icon” widget area. Drag a text widget over to it and add whatever text/html you like.
Good luck, and let us know how it works.

“Show Authors” doesn’t have any settings. It just forces WP to show the author’s page even if they don’t have any posts.
Kalin’s plugin is far easier to use than it looks. And it’s very useful, not just for authors’ pages, but for a lot of everything. I highly recommend it. (You would, however, need to create either a tag or a category for each author.)

November 4, 2011 at 6:19 pm #19322I wish I could help you with this. Josh is the real slider expert around here, but he’s taking some time off. If you search through some of his posts, however, I’m pretty sure he’s addressed this issue before.

using permalinks makes displaying specific pages or posts impossible
Well, not really. The post ID numbers are still there, just hidden. If you edit a post, its ID shows up in the address bar. But that plugin you mentioned is very handy!
