Thanks for thinking ahead by decreasing the padding. Just didn’t decrease it enough to deal with my many menus. But thanks for being proactive.

Thanks for being so willing to help. I guess the main lesson here is don’t wait a year to upgrade the theme!

I’ve already fixed a lot of things, but it would be great if you could help me identify the selectors and properties I need to adjust the following:

    (1) On the top navigation menu, I need to adjust the height of the the pale gray box highlighting the current top-level menu. It should be about 16px shorter than the dark background of the menu bar.

    (2) Need to reinstate the white border between the #nav and the featured slider.

    (3) Need to adjust the size and position of the pale blue background behind the featured slider.

    (4) Need to remove the search box that’s floating along the right side about halfway down (should be next to question #8 of the interview on the homepage).

    (5) Need to make footer menu the same colors as the header menu.

    (6) Need to change the height of the black footer at the bottom and adjust the size and position of the text in it.

I’m sure I’ll find more mismatches, but six identifications is as much as I can justify asking you to help with.

Thanks, that worked! I did, however, need to adjust the padding-left; didn’t need 15px without an icon in the area.

I’m using Firefox on a PC. Someone else did just tell me it was working in Chrome. And now it’s working on Firefox as well. Sorry. Must have been a cache issue.

    Thanks! Such a great theme.

Using Dashboard > Updates will maintain my Graphene options?

Thank you so much for all these updates. I’d been wondering if the way the graphics wrap was something I’d done wrong in my child theme css. Glad to hear the problem is gone now. Also cheering on the addition to the WP Admin bar, ability to remove comments sidewide, and so many others. Plus all the new things to learn.

    Thanks for a great theme.

Back again. I’ve upgraded to 1.2 and tried putting the basic menu in a widget in the footer. Unfortunately, it comes out styled completely differently than the top menu (just as an unstyled list).

What I’m trying to do is just repeat the menu from the header in the footer. If possible, it would be nice to have the sub-menus open upwards instead of downwards, but that’s not essential. Is there a way to do this with CSS? I can’t determine the appropriate classes, even with Firebug.

For the moment, I’m achieving something close to what I want by creating a custom footer.php in my child theme and copying the entire nav div to the footer. But I’m fairly sure that this is not the most elegant approach. Also, I need to adjust the extra gray spaces in the bottom. I tried creating a second version of sprite_h.png (sprite_h_bottom.png) but am unable to figure out where it goes.

Great. I’m really looking forward to the new version–fixes a couple of bugs/adds new features that I need. I did briefly set up a test site with the alpha version and it looks exciting. Will try out the beta when it shows up.
