Hi all,

I’ve been looking through similar threads to this one, and there doesn’t seem to be a solution that works for me yet…

Syahir, I did actually go to WP Admin > Tools > Rebuild Thumbnails and then click on the Rebuild All Thumbnails button. It also just says ‘reading attachments’ for a long time..as in, hours. I only have 8 images on my site, so I don’t understand why it’s taking so long to read?

The images on my slider are still repeating and shifted to the left. I’ve had to change the height of the slider container so that the images are cropped a bit at the top/bottom – that solved the problem of them shifting upwards a little! The full size images I’ve used for the slider are 960X230, which is what worked before the 1.6 update.

Is there something else I can do?

I had a problem with my slider images and posted about it yesterday. Syahir also told me to use the AJAX thumbnail rebuild but it didn’t seem to work. I’m not sure why.. I posted this a few hours ago:

Hi Syahir,

Will rebuilding the thumbnails help the slider images to display properly? Sorry, but I’m not sure how that fixes it… Do I use the plugin somehow instead of the slider settings to determine how the images appear? I’m a little clueless!

Ah wait, I deleted a plugin I just installed “Ajax Event Calendar” and it’s now ok again. I guess that plugin isn’t compatible!?

Still have my slider issue though…

Just want to add, my wordpress site is now not working at all! Suddenly, every page I clicked on has a ‘cannot open file’ instead of the actual page! I refreshed my browser, I closed it and opened it again – both my wp admin page as well as my actual site only display ‘cannot open file’. what’s happening??
