Hi Ken,
Many thanks for that, I’ll give it a go.
Best wishes,
David
I’ve found the option to change the width, but when I try to change it I get the following message:
Warning: Missing argument 2 for wp_kses(), called in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/fr/ee/be/freebetsfreetips.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/graphene/admin/validator.php on line 294 and defined in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/fr/ee/be/freebetsfreetips.com/public_html/blog/wp-includes/kses.php on line 502

Thanks anyway,
Dave
Hmmm, despite the above error message it allows me to save the new values so looks like it’s fine again.
Thanks anyway!

Hi,
Thanks for the latest update, but our menus have gone wako…
I’ve followed the above instructions to get rid of the descriptions, but the drop down elements to the menus appear to be far too thin for some reason. I can’t find an option to change the width of them anywhere so if anyone could point me in the right direction I would very much appreciate is. Site is http://www.freebetsfreetips.com
Thanks in advance,
Dave
In reply to: How to change the height of the header – and other questions
January 8, 2011 at 2:48 pm #10984Hi,
As well as the above post, if I wanted to upload a new header image of 900 x 60, how would I avoid having to crop the image to make it 900 x 198? Does that make sense?
Firstly I change the height of the header, but then I’d like to upload an image of height 60 pixels without being forced into resizing it… is there a way to do so?
Many thanks in advance,
David
In reply to: How to change the height of the header – and other questions
January 8, 2011 at 1:56 pm #10983Hi Syahir,
I, too, would like to amend the height of the header image.
I have set up a child theme and added the CSS code as suggested above
#header {
height:198px;
}
with the required value.
However, please could you advise me the purpose of the functions.php file? I tried to add a file to my graphene-child folder in the backend, but then it crashed the site, for some reason.
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘<‘ in /websites/123reg/LinuxPackage21/fr/ee/be/freebetsfreetips.com/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/graphene-child/functions.php on line 41
Is the functions.php bit necessary, or will it work with just the css bit? (sorry if that is a stupid question… still a novice with this stuff!).
Many thanks in advance, and thanks for the great theme!
Dave
Excellent! Many thanks for that.
So many options all over the place it can be easy to miss some!
Best wishes,
Dave

‘just uploading it as the featured image for that post should only make it show up in the slider and not in the post.’
Hi Andrew,
Thanks for the reply. If I upload the image this works, but do you – or anyone else – know how I can use an image URL to set the featured image (without it going into the post) instead of uploading an image directly? The reason being I am using images from http://www.picapp.com.
Many thanks in advance,
sorry, ignore this, figured it out, thanks~!
Hi,
I have created the child theme as instructed, but it seems to have made my menu go weird. I had amended the menus before creating the child theme, but when I activated the child theme, the amendments I made to the menus did not show, despite still being as I want them in the Appearance-Menus section on WP.
Any ideas what’s happened and how I can fix it?
Many thanks in advance,
