Kim, thank you SOOOOO much… I was beginning to get desperate! I’m not sure why it works, I will look later to see where it appears in the layout of the original css, but you have really helped me out here. Thank you once again, I appreciate it.
Hi Syahir, I downloaded Firebug, watched a bit of YouTube have figured out how to change most of the code. But couldn’t work out why the text COLOR in the Pages, Posts and Links Widgets, etc isn’t changing from blue to black?
Css code which showed up in Firebug (which I changed) was
.sidebar ul li {
border-bottom: 1px solid #E3E3E3;
line-height: 15px;
padding: 6px 0;
}
.sidebar, .sidebar p, .sidebar li {
color: #000000;
font-family: verdana;
font-size: 14px;
}
Text Widget text HAS changed to black, but text colour is still blue for these other widget areas.
Also I really want to set different text sizes and fonts for these two different widget areas – how can I do this – they show as the same when I highlight them with Firebug??
Many thanks
Hi Syahir, thanks for your response – I have been “away from my desk” for a couple of days. I have found it and added it on – will find out how to use it and take it from there.
This is a great forum – I have looked through first and found a lot of answers in previous posts – but just not these ones.
Thanks again
In reply to: How to Remove the Display Box at top of Static Homepage
March 11, 2011 at 11:44 pm #13235Hi,
I’m a new user looking for many answers too, so I understand how frustrating it can be.
I do know the answer to this one though. This is the Slider box (which I haven’t started using yet, but must get to know).
Go to “Appearance” in your dashboard – Graphene Options – Slider Options – scroll down and tick Disable Slider. Save changes at the bottom of this page and the display box will be gone.
All the best
Alan
I’ve managed to find the code to change the fonts in my Text Widgets, but still need a point in the right direction for the other widgets (ie Pages, Posts. Links etc) and the Page Titles.
Many thanks
Alan
Hi Samantha,
I’m new to this support forum and just building my second site in Graphene. In fact this is my very first post!
You are best to use something called “Child Themes” – I’ve been learning about it today by following this link –
https://forum.graphene-theme.com/topic/how-to-modify-the-theme-using-a-child-theme
– and others on the site.
If you do this rather than changing the theme stylesheet – you wont have a problem when there’s an upgrade (apparently!).
Great looking site by the way,
Alan
