I updated to 2.1.2 and I tested from large to small and the white space is gone in all sizes.

Yes 2.1.2 fixes the white space issue with small screens, but the other way on large screens the menu still comes up and overlaps the bottom of the header image. Unless I need to adjust an image size setting somewhere

If it helps I posted that here because it feels like the same issue
– except the overlap is positive whereas it was negative with the white space
It appears on the graphene site itself here

Header Image Problem (Version 2.1)

if you slide the right edge in and out
the bottom of header image is covered by the menu bar to various degrees

Same, after upgrading to 2.1.1 my header is suddenly acting really weird. On mobile the header shrinks and leaves a big white empty space between the shrunken header image and the menu – regret upgrading, the last version was so much better… note to self – backup!!
Is this a bug that will be fixed?

To fix the above I changed the header image to one that was recommended 1170×90 and the menu seems to be ok with it 🙂
