When not perched on my workspace, I tremendously enjoy hiking in the bushes and climbing mountains. They serve as much-needed refuges from the pretense of cities.

Can you enable the slider so that I can take a look? It is strange though, it’s working fine on the theme’s demo, which is also running WordPress 3.0.4

Your content is missing a closing
</div>for the #avatar_footer div.<div id="avatar_footer">Avatars by <a href="http://www.sterling-adventures.co.uk/blog/">Sterling Adventures</a>Admin
Use the Custom Post Limits plugin by Scott Reilly.

Copy the theme’s
single.phpfile into your child theme folder, then remove the following line:<?php get_sidebar(); ?>You may need to adjust the CSS to make use of the additional space available for the content.

David,
You can actually modify the header image size without touching the theme’s functions.php at all, but instead creating your own functions.php file in your child theme. This will allow you to update the theme in the future without losing any of your modifications. See this post for instructions: https://forum.graphene-theme.com/topic/header-image-size-change#post-345
as for the shadow, you can just create your own background image that corresponds to the content area height, and then use the child theme’s style.css to apply that background instead of the theme’s sprite_v.png

In reply to: Current page highlighting broken after using own menu
December 31, 2010 at 3:46 pm #11851It’s unlikely that that’s the problem. Anyways, try downloading a new copy of the theme from the repository and replace it to revert all changes to the theme and see if that fixes the issue.
Make sure you back up the old one though, just in case you need it later on.

In reply to: Current page highlighting broken after using own menu
December 31, 2010 at 2:06 pm #11848I’m not sure what’s causing it..somehow WordPress is not assigning the
current-menu-itemclass to the Home menu link when the home page is viewed. The menu works fine on both my development server and the theme’s demo.It could be caused by a WordPress setting somewhere or conflicting plugin. Try asking in the WordPress.org support forum?

You’re welcome, David! The theme does look better with greater width…plus a lot more space for content too.
