Current page highlighting broken after using own menu

I changed the main menu to a selfmade one, because the default one had all my static pages in it. So I created my own menu and set it as the main menu. But since then, the highlighting of the current page doesn’t seem to work anymore. Hovering still works though.

Not completely sure wheter this is a bug, but I couldn’t find anything to fix this.

    Sincerely

I’m not sure what’s causing it..somehow WordPress is not assigning the current-menu-item class to the Home menu link when the home page is viewed. The menu works fine on both my development server and the theme’s demo.

It could be caused by a WordPress setting somewhere or conflicting plugin. Try asking in the WordPress.org support forum?

You’re right, it works for the FAQ, so kinda weird. Thanks for your help anyways, gonna look for a solution and tell you, if you want.

I just recalled something I changed. I edited the .po file with the German translation from “Home” – “Startseite” to “Home” – “Home” ( I think “Startseite” is kinda too long ). Could it be, that this caused it?

It’s unlikely that that’s the problem. Anyways, try downloading a new copy of the theme from the repository and replace it to revert all changes to the theme and see if that fixes the issue.

Make sure you back up the old one though, just in case you need it later on.
