When not perched on my workspace, I tremendously enjoy hiking in the bushes and climbing mountains. They serve as much-needed refuges from the pretense of cities.

In reply to: How do I make my header a clickable link to my homepage?
June 3, 2012 at 9:58 pm #28925The header image link is there, but currently it is not working in IE because of how IE handles link with no content. This will be fixed in version 1.7.2.

Quote:Admin: I tried my best to edit my post but for some reason it won’t work. You can update my post to fix the code issue. I have no idea how to enter the code on this forum.See the note at the bottom of the post form:

As for your issue, your list does not have a wrapping
<ul>or<ol>. All lists must have either of these.Admin
Good suggestion. I’ll add this in the next version (not 1.7.2, since that has already been submitted to the repository).
Quote:If this is added, I think it would also be nice for the newly added information to be wrapped in it’s own class or id.Yep, we always ensure that each HTML feature has its own class, and if necessary, ID. If you find some in the theme’s codes that are missing this, let me know.

A few comments on the site:
1. You’re using a three-column layout, but you only use 5 widgets, 3 of which are very short and take very little space. As a result, there’s a lot of unused space under the widgets, while the content column becomes too narrow. I would suggest using the standard two-column layout instead.
2. You’ve increased the font size, but did not increase the line height, so readability may suffer. Try increasing the line height of the text.

Great customisation! If I may offer some suggestions:
1. Try using a more stylish font for the navigation menu. Google Webfonts is a good place to start.
2. The posts navigation link at the bottom of the page could use some margin:

Theme update does not affect the MySQL tables. Sometimes the theme includes DB upgrade script to update the theme’s data in the database for the latest version, but this will only be run after the theme has been successfully updated.
Just upload the theme’s files manually via FTP, and you should be fine.

In reply to: Header image link not working in IE or Chrome, is in Firefox
May 30, 2012 at 8:24 pm #28839This is a bug with how IE handles block anchor element with nothing in it – it removes it. Will be fixed in the next theme update though.

Since this feature is already available through the plugin you mentioned, and that it works perfectly, there’s really no need to include it with the theme.
