When not perched on my workspace, I tremendously enjoy hiking in the bushes and climbing mountains. They serve as much-needed refuges from the pretense of cities.

You would have to move the header image down so that it doesnt obscure the menu. Try setting a top margin on the header image.

Quote:Thanks for that, basically, I was trying to change ow it is showing the text, it is not showing it neatly, with now full stops or anything, also within the page it is taking it from it is within a table, but it is showing all the way along the box, is there a way to make it show almost the same as it is on the page and the home page slide? Thanks for the help
That’s because WordPress strips all html tags when it auto-generates the excerpt. You can either use custom excerpt like Ken said, or use the “retain these html tags” for excerpts in Graphene Options.

February 7, 2013 at 1:03 am #35542Do you have a child theme installed?

If there is no loop-category.php file in the theme’s folder, WordPress will use the loop.php file, so that’s where you should look.

There are plugins you can use to achieve this. Try searching in the WordPress plugins repository.

The theme’s colour options do not provide a distinction between posts and pages. If it does, there’ll be simply too many options to be set that would make it inconvenient for most people.
You can achieve what you want by writing custom CSS codes either in a child theme or in the Custom CSS option.

Quote:1 What mobile devices are automatically directed to the mobile site? For example, I would prefer iPad and tablet users to continue to direct to the non-mobile site – is this possible?Generally speaking, all smartphones will be served the mobile site. Tablets will continue to be served the default desktop theme, though you have the option to have them served the mobile theme as well.
There’s actually no redirecting involved, just that different themes are served to desktop and mobile devices. This saves on loading time for the site as redirection can add quite a substantial amount of waiting time for the users.
Quote:2 Is there a simple home page link mobile device users can click on to view the non-mobile site if they prefer?Yes, there’s a link at the bottom of the mobile site for mobile users to switch to desktop theme.
Quote:4 Is Graphene Mobile compatable with my google Adsense? I notice my adsense ads don’t display currently on mobile devices.Google Adsense for web and for mobile devices use two different codes. You’ll have to sign up for the mobile adsense program in order to serve proper adsense ads to mobile devices.
Quote:3 Are there any consequences for the search engines? Are pages duplicated, or does having 2 versions of one url upset the organic search engine rankings on google etc?On top of Kenneth’s answer above, the only possible issue of Google detecting duplicate content is when its crawlers follow the link to switch between desktop and mobile theme. However, this link has been marked as
rel="nofollow"in the theme to prevent this very issue from happening.Admin
What you’re describing sounds more like a breadcrumb. You might want to try the Breadcrumb NavXT plugin.
