The query you quoted is an extremely simple one it should be almost instantaneous. How many posts and uploaded images do you have on the site? Also, try performing the “optimize” operation on the database and see if that helps speed things up a bit.

The mobile-smart.zip file is a plugin, so you need to install it as a plugin and not as a theme. Go to WP Admin > Plugins > Add New, and upload the mobile-smart.zip file there.

Check and ensure that the GM Neo Helper plugin is installed and activated. This helper plugin loads the mobile theme’s options so that you can change the settings while on desktop.
