New Purchase and Unable to INSTALL

    Hello,

    I just purchased the mobile theme and was following the instructions as listed:

    1. Extract the graphene-mobile.zip file that you have downloaded following your purchase. Inside, you’ll find two other zipped files and a copy of this installation instructions.

    2. The graphene-mobile-theme.zip file is the Graphene Mobile theme. Install the theme.

    When I did STEP 2. I get error message that states the following:

    Installing Theme from uploaded file: graphene-mobile.zip

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.

    Please help!

    Hello,

    The graphene-mobile-theme.zip file is the theme, which you need to upload in WP Admin > Appearance > Add theme.

    Yes, I know. I was trying to upload in Google Chrome and it kept giving me the error stated above. Then I went to Internet Explorer and it installed on that browser. But now, I am unable to upload the mobile-smart.zip. It’s giving me the same error on BOTH browsers:

    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

    The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme install failed.

    the zip file is showing up in my media tho?

    When you install the theme, which .zip file are you uploading?

    I’m uploading the files that I downloaded when I made the purchase following the EXACT instructions listed below:

    3.The mobile-smart.zip file is a mobile detection plugin for your site. Install the plugin and activate it.

    When I did STEP 3. I get error message that states the following:

    The mobile-smart.zip file is a plugin, so you need to install it as a plugin and not as a theme. Go to WP Admin > Plugins > Add New, and upload the mobile-smart.zip file there.

    OMG DUH!!!!!!! That’s my error on that one! Sorry about that!

    Do you know why the graphene-mobile-theme.zip install failed on Google Chrome but not IE?

    I just installed the PLUG-IN – not so sure I like the mobile version layout, but will play around with it and/or perhaps try the Neo version.

    This happens sometimes, due to the (inconsistent) way browsers handle file types.
