    Oh…

    Then –

I did not understand what setting up a child theme means…

I went back to the link you gave me, but could not seem to see that there.

    Sorry about the confusion,

Thank you Kenneth. I think it worked. I just pasted 1 line into functions.php and the excerpts sections appeared. Thanks again

    Thank you again.

I think I almost get it.

    Just –

I see the excerpt field can be added to posts.

How do I do this with pages? There is no “excerpt” in the “screen options” for pages…

Is it possible to have a custom excerpt for pages?

    Thank you again,

    Thank you again.

However for some reason in my pages (and posts) I do not have an “excerpt” or “summary” field.

Am I supposed to activate it somehow?

    Or add a plugin?

    Thanks again,

    Thank you Syahir.

However my problem is a bit different.

I want the child pages to still be listed in the parent page – Just I don’t want an automatic excerpt, but rather a custom excerpt.

This is because in my example (http://sezer-tech.com/careers/) the child pages contain tables and that makes a weird excerpt…

    Thank you again,

    Sorry. This was a mistake.

    Sorry again…

It is still not working… And it does not matter whether I change the “Graphene default menu” or “Graphene top menu”. In both cases I get the the following two problems:

    1) I get the writing I mentioned

    2) I cannot “not” have the posts page appear. If I leave it out of the custom menu, it still appears on its own for some reason…

    What am I doing wrong???

    Sorry! I got it 🙂

I just needed to insert the custom menu into the correct place (Graphene default menu).

Now that this has been done it works.

Thanks again for all the help.
