I’m not sure how to do that without it redoing everything..
I have to be honest and say that I can’t figure out how to do a child theme. I’ve tried to read through the steps… but I’m just too new to this whole editing thing. But I only edit a couple of things (at least that’s how it was in the past) so I just would go in and change those when I updated. I’ve got it pretty much fixed, except I don’t like how the dropdowns without another submenu (or whatever) are smaller than those that do have one.
now I’m noticing it’s the opposite in Firefox….. http://www.makinmemoriesphotoblog.com
Also the more I look at it, it looks like it’s because I removed the arrows…. and I don’t know the code to get them back. It’s almost impossible to click on the categories that are tied to the main dropdown because of it. Sorry I don’t know what they’re actually called. If anybody can help, you can see I’m desperate.
Anybody?? I’ve got my site exactly how I like it now with exception to that pesky dropdown…..
I went ahead and updated the theme and everything is working fine. I realized I hadn’t made many changes to the theme and I just went back in changed them again. I tried with a child theme but I have no idea what I’m doing.

I’ve edited the theme myself, added the menus, changed colors, changed the text placement and size in the header, that sort of thing… I also know now that it’s doing similar things in IE8 as well.
