Check your server error logs. Those should give you a bit of a clue as to what is going on. (Although this is not a sure thing: sometimes they tell you exactly what you need to know, and sometimes they tell you nothing. Usually it is something in between.)
If you find anything unusual or confusing, please feel free to paste it here and we’ll see what we can do.

In reply to: How to link a blog post to a page in the homepage?
September 25, 2016 at 1:10 am #46255Posts and pages are separate things in WordPress.
If you are talking about the four links at the bottom with images, those are homepage pages. You must be using a static front page in order to activate them.
Set up a static home page.
Then, activate and set up homepage panes:
Graphene Options >> General Options >> Homepage Panes
Make sure the box labeled “Disable homepage panes” is NOT ticked.
“Type of content to show” — select “Posts and/or pages”
In the box labeled “Posts and/or pages to display” add the ID numbers of the pages you would like to display.

In that case, it’s most likely a WordPress or server issue. You can read through similar issues in the wordpres.org support forum here:
https://wordpress.org/search/%22406+Not+Acceptable%22
and if you can’t find anything that helps, try creating a new post here:
https://wordpress.org/support/forum/how-to-and-troubleshooting/
Do be sure to mention that you’ve searched the forum and that you’ve tried the things you’ve mentioned above. Feel free to link to this forum post as well, so that people know you’ve researched this on your own.
Let us know if you find out anything useful.

If that’s the correct plugin I linked to, then you should open a ticket here:
https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/tinymce-advanced
But wait! Did you say this happened even with this plugin turned off? If that’s the case, then there’s probably something wrong with your WordPress install. Did I read that correctly?

That is…weird.
Try a different browser to rule out something funky with your browser. (I seriously doubt this is it, but this is quick and easy to check.)
Then verify that it really is theme related by temporarily switching to the default WordPress theme (TwentySixteen) and trying again. If the problem goes away, it is probably a theme issue.
If the problem doesn’t go away, rule out a plugin conflict by temporarily disabling all of your plugins except for TinyMCE Advanced. If the problem goes away, it’s due to a plugin conflict—you have two (or more) plugins that aren’t playing nicely with one another.
If not, verify that it is TinyMCE Advanced + Graphene by turning your plugins back on and then disabling TinyMCE. If the problem goes away, it’s a plugin problem, and you’ll need to post in the plugin’s support forum on wordpress.org.
Does this happen on both pages and posts? Does the percent symbol have to be in the title, or can it be anywhere on the page?
Are you referring to this plugin:?

September 13, 2016 at 11:19 pm #46227Quote:I may have to change the sliderThe slider in Graphene is really designed to link to pages and/or posts. I believe you are right and that you may have to choose a different slider plugin, of which there are many. (I’m not aware of any that will allow you to link like that, but again, there are lots. One or probably more has an option to create this link.)

In reply to: Goggle Universal Analytics tracking code where does it go?
September 12, 2016 at 11:06 pm #46230Yes, it will. That is why you want to use a child theme.

September 12, 2016 at 12:04 am #46228Avoid editing theme files. Instead, create a child theme, copy FJ’s
header.phpfile over to you child theme, and add the code to that file. And yep, that is the correct location for that code.
FWIW, there are probably plugins that can handle this for you, if they have been recently updated.

September 9, 2016 at 12:47 am #46225Graphene has an option to link to pages or posts—you just need to use the WordPress ID for the pages or posts in question. The slider will then display the featured image for each page/post.

Graphene Options >> Display >> Column Options
This will allow you to set the number of columns globally for your posts.
