Authors and Contributors can not moderate comments.
Contributors can create posts, but they cannot publish them. They go into a queue awaiting approval from an Editor or Administrator.
Authors can publish their own posts, however. But they still can’t moderate comments.

an additional option where the content area covers the full width of the screen?
Part of the problem with this is that while it may look great on a smaller monitor, lots of people have huge monitors. (Monitors are getting bigger all the time, as well.) In a big enough monitor, paragraphs become very wide and difficult to read. (That’s why newspapers and magazines use columns.) Anything that makes it difficult for people to read your blog/website is a real disincentive for them to come back.
You can make use of that space, however. Here are some ideas:
- Use an interesting/arresting background image.
- Use that area for social sharing buttons.
- Use that area for something you want to appear in the same place all the time, such as a Paypal donation button.
I do all three of those things with my blogs (although some will question how interesting or arresting my background images are).
Cheers,
Ken

I went into to my post to “edit” and looked for the “discussion box”. I didn’t see that option? Can you be a little more specific?
Go to the top right corner of the page, where you will see a tab marked “Screen Options”. Click on that, and a pane will drop down. Tick the boxed marked “Discussion” then scroll down beneath the editing area. You will now see a box marked “Discussion”. Click on in to open it, and then tick the box marked “Allow Comments”.

Yep, this has happened to me many times — I think I know something, and then I overlook just one little thing that throws everything off. Glad we got it sorted out!

I’ve been wondering about that, too. So I tried it on my test blog. It seemed to set everything back to the “out of the box” settings. When I went back to “reset to default settings” all the changes I had made to Graphene options were gone. So I have no clue what it does.
You can always back up your Graphene options by using “import/export theme options”

Not sure if this will make a difference, but try separating ID numbers with a comma without any spaces.

changed the page ID to a number
The page ID is a number, so I’m not sure what you mean here. Where are you getting the page ID’s of the new pages from?
Right now I don’t have those pages in the “show specific posts/pages” box.
Well, sometimes it’s hard to see what’s going on if you’ve disabled the feature in question. So I tried changing the slider options on my test blog to match yours, and then added another page. It works for me, so either you have the ID numbers wrong (not likely) or it could be some sort of plugin conflict. The slider is based on jQuery, and it appears you have a couple of other jQuery things going on. So you might want to disable those, add the page ID’s back in, and see what happens.
Anyway, kind of a long-winded description…sorry about that!
Actually, more information is better than just “it doesn’t work anymore…please fix it for me immediately.” Telling us what you’ve tried and hasn’t worked so far gives us a place to put our feet, so I appreciate the fact that you have taken the time to try out various things and document them. And you actually include links! Thank you! (I actually wrote a post about this on my blog, but people get their knickers in a twist when I recommend they read it.)
A lot of slider problems are either jQuery-based plugin conflicts or incorrect permalinks. Your permalinks look good, so it’s most likely the latter. I only wish I could be a bit more specific. But keep trying and keep us updated; we’ll get this sorted out, I’m sure.

Sure, just edit the 404.php file. This means editing one of the theme’s core files, however, which is not recommended, because you will lose these changes at the next theme update.
