  • Thank you for this. Firstly, I realise that I should have posted this in the Graphene section. Sorry.

    I managed to insert a new Widget box into which I copied a photograph and some text as per your instructions above. The problem now is that even though I can appear to position the photo and the text centrally and I can add carriage returns where I want them, when I save the widget I lose the formatting (see http://www.pengaron.com homepage). Is there some sort of code that I need to put on each side of the photo to align it as well as a code that I should insert when I want a carriage return?

    I suppose I want the RSS feed button, but when I click on it an error message appears saying “The XML file does not appear to have any style information associated with it. The document tree is shown below” after which a whole load of code appears. Is there anything I can do about this.

    Thank you so much for your very quick response!

    Thanks Josh. I had previously tried your suggestion above and it didn’t seem to save. When I revisited the admin panel after reading your comment, I realised that when I chose the font size I simply put in a number and I should have also added a unit, eg pt. It then saved fine. The only problem is that the new header description and the strapline are a bit low down (www.pengaron.com). Is it possible to centre these vertically please?

    Thanks Josh, but what’s confusing me is that the list I need to reorder is of pages. Everyone else seemed to locate a bit of code that referred to pages, but the bit of code that the Mozilla search threw up for me (shown above) referred to posts only. Sorry to bother you again, but is it OK for me to carry out the change you recommended and will it reorder the pages as well? I have tried searching for page_title, but Mozilla search comes up with an error… Thanks once again in advance for any help with this.

    Dear all, Any advice please NB I don’t know anything about codes!? I think Graphene will provide a simple, elegant template that will work for our website, so thanks! However, I also think I have the problem that the bar with all my pages on it is alphabetical and not in the original page order. I cannot show it to you because the site is still in a draft form. I have tried to follow your instructions above, but after I get to the bit about clicking on Theme Functions (functions.php) I get lost. When I search on Mozilla for sort_column it generates the following with no mention of pages, only posts:

    ‘sort_column’ => ‘menu_order post_title’,

    ‘depth’ => 5,

    ‘title_li’ => ”,

    ‘walker’ => new Walker_PageDescription() );

    wp_list_pages(apply_filters( ‘graphene_default_menu_args’, $args) );

    ?>

    <?php

    do_action( ‘graphene_default_menu’ );

    }

    endif;

    class Walker_PageDescription extends Walker_Page {

    /**

    * Code exact copied from: wp-includespost-template.pgp >> Walker_Page::start_el()

    * @since 2.1.0

    */

    function start_el(&$output, $page, $depth, $args, $current_page) {

    if ( $depth )

    $indent = str_repeat(“t”, $depth);

    else

    $indent = ”;

    extract( $args, EXTR_SKIP);

    $css_class = array( ‘page_item’, ‘page-item-‘.$page->ID)
