After peeking at the CSS files of 1.2, it appears that this is indeed an expected reaction. Too bad for 1.1.4 users with custom CSS!
It appears that 1.2 is now final, and available on WordPress. I installed this new version, and immediately had to revert to 1.1.4 because of an unexpected issue. Is or will there be a change log posted somewhere? If the theme is online, the changelog should be too.

It’s got the blue widget header/slider frame/view full post box, and I’d like to make it silver (or some other color). I’m not sure if these are controlled by CSS, or elsewhere like the sprites.

Now if only I could figure out how to change the menu/slider color from blue to silver.

I don’t know how he changed them to silver on his site, but so far changing the sprite colors hasn’t worked for me.

So far, I haven’t found clear instruction on how to make color changes to the menu/slider.
