When not perched on my workspace, I tremendously enjoy hiking in the bushes and climbing mountains. They serve as much-needed refuges from the pretense of cities.

1) There’s no need to place any specific header for the files.
2) Something like
include( 'comments.php' )will usually work, provided that thecomments.phpfile resides in the same folder as the pseudo-child theme’sfunctions.phpfile. However, note that thecomments.phpfile in your pseudo-child theme will not replace the theme’scomments.phpfile. This is a limitation of the pseudo-child theme implementation in the theme. If you’d like to create a full-fledged child theme for GM Neo, try using Any Mobile Theme Switcher instead of the bundled Mobile Smart plugin. From our preliminary testing, it does appear to be support switching to a child theme for mobile devices.

How do you add the post thumbnail for the posts? Are you using the Featured Image feature of WordPress?
Admin
Go to Graphene Options > Display > Excerpts Display Options, and then tick the option called “Show full content in archive pages”.

In reply to: Installation worked but i only see the "old" mobile theme
August 26, 2013 at 9:02 am #40082Hi Alex,
What did you use for the old mobile theme? Is it another plugin, or perhaps one of Jetpack’s modules?

Yeah, WordPress admin’s not so great on mobile. But your browser should have a “show desktop view”, right? You can use that to show the normal desktop view.

In reply to: Can I convert a modified Graphene parent theme to a Child theme?
August 24, 2013 at 3:48 pm #39990The main theme and the child theme share the single “options” settings?
That’s correct.

August 24, 2013 at 10:59 am #39988Quote:What is confusing, is that if changes are made to the parent theme, before a child theme is created, why aren’t they automatically seen in the child theme? If all the changes you’ve done is via the theme’s options page, then those changes will be retained and applied when a child theme is used.
However, if you’ve changed any of the original Graphene theme’s files, those changes won’t be transferred over to the child theme. They’ll still be in effect though — until the next time you update the theme.

Marking thread as resolved. You can do this yourself as well.

Use the “Background image and excerpt” slider style, and then hide the excerpt using Custom CSS.

Hi Mark,
What was the email address that you used for purchasing the theme? I’ll check your access for you.
