I checked your footer and you added:

<div id="display_area">your missing one
</div>
this may be the problem.
Do you have a footer.php on a graphene-child folder?

Go to posts on dashboard and hover the mouse on “books” post.
you’ll see an address on the statu bar.
ex.yoursite.com/wp-admin/post.php?post=9&action=edit
in the example.. “9” is your post ID

this may be your problem.
try adding this on your style.css
.sidebar ul li

url("path of your background image");
}this will result in the menus having the same background image.
for font size, add this
.sidebar ul li
{
font-size: 16px;
}to remove the arrow try adding this..
