Anyhow, I solved the problem with this code:

Hi Kenneth,

thanks for your reply. I generated a gradient on this website, as it did not work I included the important! in case it matters however it doesn’t work. Any idea what went wrong?

I am also not sure if this is what I am looking for. Basically I like to have a background colour on the top and on bottom, both as gradient, something like on this page: https://www.wallner-shop.eu/

the helpinghands-uk.com runs with PHP5.4 and wordpress 3.5.1

nothing I can do to increace PHP at godaddy

Luko, I tried your suggestion but it did not work. However, thanks.

I got the idea to change the URL of the link to one of the other pages, in this way I avoid that people go to the post.

So I am ok.
