In reply to: Is there a way to keep everything within the Div id="respond" in it's default positio
March 26, 2012 at 10:19 pm #26964Oh well, Thanks anyways I appreciate your time in looking into this. I think I may try diabling the nested comments and see if there is possibly a plugin that would label a reply say for example, “Kenneth John Odle in reply to Mr North Jersey comment #32” so that at least one can know which comment is being replied to.
Again Thanks for your time and if I find a solution I’ll be sure to post it here for anyone else that may have the same issue.

You hopefully should be able to see depending on which nested comment you select reply to how the comment box shifts to align itself. The only way I was able to keep the comment box from breaking out into the next column originally was shrinking the width to what it is now.

March 26, 2012 at 9:31 pm #26960Yet in our current site we use nested comments but the reply box is always the same. I thought that possibly the same could be done in Graphene.
Here is the link to our main site that displays what I mean.

You will see nested comments but regardless of which one is selected to reply to the reply box always remains the same.
The reason I am asking is that the comment form box I had to shrink it’s width due to it breaking out of it’s column into the next one. If I could do the same with Graphene as in the site I listed it would allow me to make the comment form box it’s original size without worry of it breaking out into the next column due to replying to a nested comment.

March 13, 2012 at 2:03 am #26129Thanks for the fast reply. I feel better now with you confirming using !important was the way to go.
Your site has a great wealth of information thanks for all the help you provide.

March 13, 2012 at 1:50 am #26127Update:
So after some digging I’ve been able to resize the comment form and the text area with the following css code in the child stylesheet.
#commentform {
width: 400px !important;
}
.three-columns #commentform textarea {
height:200px !important;
width:390px !important;
}I still would appreciate some advice on if this was the best method.
