Tee thank you so much for your ideas.
I made that change and the subscribe button showed up, but didn’t work. So I removed all the Java script and now it works. Not as nicely as before, but it is functional.
So it seems to be a conflict with Javascript and the new version of the theme.
Thanks for all the help everyone. Syahir would you mind taking a look at this conflict please?
Thanks for the ideas, but I wasn’t previously using a Mailchimp widget – I had copied the form code from Mailchimp into a text widget, which worked perfectly in the previous version of Graphene, but broke when I updated. The form fields are visible, but the Submit button isn’t.
This is the code that now isn’t working:
<!-- Begin MailChimp Signup Form -->
<link href="http://cdn-images.mailchimp.com/embedcode/classic-081711.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css">
<style type="text/css">
#mc_embed_signup{background:#fff; clear:left; font:14px Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; width:220px;}
/* Add your own MailChimp form style overrides in your site stylesheet or in this style block.
We recommend moving this block and the preceding CSS link to the HEAD of your HTML file. */
</style>
<div id="mc_embed_signup">
<form action="http://removed for privacy" method="post" id="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" name="mc-embedded-subscribe-form" class="validate" target="_blank">

I am having the same problem. I have the form, but no submit button, after upgrading the theme.
I am using a different sidebar for the front page to the rest of the site, and it doesn’t work on either.
I tried different mailchimp forms and none of them worked.
There is obviously some type of conflict happening.
The site is http://www.loransheart.com – but I’ve had to use alternative methods for the mailchimp form so you can’t see the error at the moment.
Help please!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And ladies and gentlemen, that is why I love this theme!
Thanks Syahir.
What I ended up doing was creating a background with the header I wanted across the width, and set it to centred, scroll, no repeat.
I removed the header image and left that blank.
In the CSS I have:
#container {
margin-top: 110px;
}
#header {
position: absolute;
left: 0;
top: 0;
}
And this is the result:

Exactly what I wanted!!
Thank you
Kenneth, thanks for your reply and all the detail. I did previously do what you suggested, but my client doesn’t like the look of the lines at the edge of the container breaking up the full width header.
I went for 2000px wide to make sure the header looks how the client wants even on the lovely big screens with >1900px resolution.
Does anyone else have any ideas?
Unfortunately this is a deal-breaker for my client and if I can’t get this to work I’ll have to use a different theme. Which would be a shame because I think this is an awesome theme!
You guys are AWESOME! Thank you – a combination of your suggestions and I now have exactly what I want.
Thank you again.
Another related question – how do I set the hyperlink colour to be different for post titles and post content?
Through the text options I have set all hyperlinks to be red, but I’d like the post titles to be purple. Can this be done?
thanks again!!
