Thanks Josh. That did the trick. I new there was something other than H1 at play here. You can mark this one resolved. I appreciate everyone’s help. Craig
Ken: That doesn’t seem to help. It is almost as if there is another tag influencing the three H1’s on the page (now four since I added a test at the bottom). Right now I used your code and set H1 through H3 at 500%. No difference. Even without the new font showing up shouldn’t it have increased the size?
The only thing I have set in the Graphene Options-Display-Test Style Options is Content Text is set to ‘Trebuchet MS’ 12pt line height 20 pt. When I took these out there was still no change.
Any thoughts?
Luko: Thanks. The font came with link and CSS. Trying to make sure it looks right before I show it to the world.
As usual, you are the man! Well actually Syahir is the man but you know what I mean. Thanks again.
Sorry about that. The frustration turned into fat fingers. The link is http://www.emoconsultingllc.com. I’ve been investigating more and looking at karenhy’s source code (Karen sorry to be so nosey). I have the white edge removed by choosing “background and excerpt” as “Slider Display Style” but then I can’t see how to remove the tinted box and view full post button.
I like the way her slider looks but now realize that I can’t use it for multiple messages if I use custom url. Any way, that’s enough for now. Don’t want to pile on too much. Thanks for your advice.
I used this post to find out the dimensions (thanks Josh and Prasanna) but I’m trying to do what karenhy did with her slider and can’t figuire it out.
If I put the fullsize image (at 660×240) into a post I get a white border at top and left (see http://www.emosconsultingllc.com ). I’ve tried it in post, as featured image and as custom URL. I’m trying to use the slider like banners instead of informational posts.
I’m sure this is just a combination of the options avaialable to me but I think I’ve clicked too many buttons. Thanks for any advice.
Good tip on permalinks. Done. I also took your suggestion on another thread to add a Gravatar but it must not be linked to this login. Funny, I can find the fix to a browser based CSS issue but can’t get my picture to pop up [Laughing]. Always something.
I wanted Ken and/or Josh to see the resolution on the IE9 issue then one of us can mark the thread as resolved. Thanks Syahir.
Ken: Thanks for the screen capture…a picture is worth a 1000 words.
Here’s what I found. It appears that IE9 doesn’t default to “inside” or is inheriting something else from a parent somewhere. By putting this in the custom css option of Graphene it fixed it.
.entry-content ul li {
list-style-position: inside;
}Thanks guys for hanging with me. I know browser compatibility can be a pain.
Now the Windows 7 makes sense. LOL
Yeah, that’s what I see too. Can you get my client to switch browsers?
Well it looks like the problem was with my first assumption, “I’m sure you’ve fixed this before.” Looks like I’ve found something new so I’ll have to break open the css files. I’ll investigate further (with a laptop beside me running IE9) and see if I can come up with a fix. Thanks for your time. I’ll post whatever solution I come up with here. Keep up the great work (with the theme and supporting it).
As I say, I don’t use it either but according to some stats I’ve seen it already has 10% of the browser market share and (more importantly for me) my clients are using it. I’m not sure what the relevance of the Windows 7 comment is.
If you look at my post before the browser discussion I had googled some IE9 display issues and found the referenced link describing exactly what was happening in my case. I am just looking for a fix within WordPress and Graphene short of not using unordered lists.
As for the comment that it looks perfect…you may have missed it ’cause the text is lining up nicely with the bullets in other browsers but the blue bullets are on top of the picture in IE9. Here is the link again (see last two pictures in post) http://crldev.com/?page_id=21 Thanks
Looks great in IE8 (which I use predominantly). Issue is with IE9.
