You can always switch back to the main theme and restore the theme options.I’m kind of new to all this so I’m not sure how to do this. I’ve added a link to a screen shot of what my child page looks like. (hope the link works)

If you take a look at my site you will see how I would like it to look. I’m hoping for an easy solution but realize that I might have done something wrong when creating the child page.
