In reply to: Meta keywords and meta description are blank when observing with an SEO tool
August 8, 2014 at 12:22 am #43139The description is still a good idea, though.
BTW, which SEO tool were you using?

August 8, 2014 at 12:06 am #43137Search engines don’t even pay attention to meta keywords any more. They haven’t for years, so perhaps you need a better SEO tool.
You can add a description with an SEO plugin such as the one by Yoast. (Beware the All-in-One SEO plugin. A lot of people here have found it buggy, although it may have been updated recently.)

Try

That was default behavior with older versions of WordPress; hence my reason for asking. But it shouldn’t do that with 3.9.2.

I don’t see anything anywhere that could cause this. You can try disabling plugins to rule out a plugin issue.

Which version of WordPress are you using? This shouldn’t be an issue in latest versions.

Graphene Options >> General Options >> Slider Options
You can turn it off there.

I see “Electric blankets on sale” ad. No text. On all pages. And you are using the Duster theme.

I think you need to use a static home page to achieve your goal.

Are you talking about adding items to a custom menu?
This is not a common issue. It could be a plugin conflict of some sort. Does this happen regardless of what you are trying to add (page, category, link, etc.)?
Link to page?
