I tried deleting the Spanish translation of the “featured” category and creating it again, and also re-creating the Spanish translations of the posts and the slider on the Spanish home page now seems to be working as expected.

The site is now live at http://tywo.es.

Hi, I have upgrade to the paid version of WPML (2.3.4) and still have the issue with the empty slider on the Spanish home page.

Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Ok, thanks for that. Perhaps that is the problem. When I tried to upgrade WPML I got some other problems, that why I was sticking with that version. I will have to look at it again.

Thanks for your quick reply.

Looking at Posts > Categories, the category name in Spanish is “featured”. The individual posts have the “featured” category checked (there is no option for “featured @es”), but when I view the Posts summary page, the Spanish posts have a category of “featured @es”.

In the Slider Options, I have selected “featured” in the category field. I have also tried changing it to only show the Spanish posts using their ID, but I still get nothing.
