I noticed the same thing. For me, it occurred when using a first image that was already n my wordpress media library.
followed your instructions for the functions.php file inside my child theme’s folder and they worked perfectly. thanks.
FYI – I found the “More To The Top” plugin and am using it instead. “Seemore” is another plugin that does this, too. Thanks Syahir.
No, I’m not using the manual excerpt fields — they’re blank. I just start typing my post, at some point hit the ‘more’ key, and keep typing. The “continue reading” button (really, it’s a “Read the rest of this entry” button) shows up on the main page for all the posts, as expected, but only for some of the posts on the monthly, category, and tag archive pages. Curious, right?! (My blog’s url: ggci.com/blog3.)
Hi Syahir ~ I’ve noticed that on my blog, the Continue reading links don’t always show in the monthly archive view. Some do, but most don’t. Ever see that before?
can you provide a bit more detail about how to do this, please? thanks.
I’d like to be able to show the add this icons on the front page of my blog (www.ggci-blog.com) in addition to showing them on the blog post permalink pages. I’ve set up a child theme, but cannot figure out what code snip to put where. Suggestions?

Hi Syahir ~ just created a child theme and want to add the year into the date, too. Don’t quite understand how to do what you said to do, though. Could you provide a bit more detail please?
