Are these images supposed to be set as the featured image? I guess I don’t understand the difference between ‘first image in post’ and featured image.

Any help or clarification is appreciated. I love this theme and want to be able to get this one issue resolved if possible.

No featured images set. In Graphene post-specific options I had left it defaulted to Use Global Setting. For the two posts that are giving me trouble I changed it to First Image in Post, but it didn’t make a difference.

Slider image is also set to First Image in Post.

Also checked to make sure no featured image settings were selected in Screen Options.

Please let me know if there’s something else I should check.

Kenneth, I really appreciate your suggestions for this. I’m willing to give you access to this site if that would be helpful. I really need to get this site situated if possible.

Well, that worked temporarily… I was excited for a minute that you had solved it!

For the post titled Tattoo Removal I deleted the unwanted image from the media library and my desired image showed up on the Home page excerpt and in the Slider. But then I added some thumbnails to the bottom of that post, and the first thumbnail jumped into the excerpt display.

In addition, I added thumbnails to the post titled Eyeliner, and the LAST thumbnail jumped into the excerpt display.

It seems to only show up this way in the excerpt mode on the Home page.

I’ve deactivated all plugins, but I wasn’t using any unfamiliar ones anyway. Also cleared cache and checked 3 browsers… it looks the same in all three. Not sure what else to try.

Yes, those two internal images are the same. The Home page is where the old picture shows.

If I remove the excerpt feature, the correct picture shows on the Home page, but the old picture still shows in the Slider.

I did empty the browser cache just to be sure, and I’m not using a caching plugin. I mostly use Firefox but it shows up the same for me in IE and Chrome.
