Updated theme, now having issues with position

    Hi there,

I’ve been having such problems today, none of them are the fault of the graphene theme, but my own lack of understanding. I just updated from 1.4.1 to 1.6.1 and am now having issues with the slider taking the full width of the site. I want the slider to fit nicely into the left of the page with a sidebar on the right. I’ve adjusted the widths but that didn’t seem to help. Any ideas? It’s at http://www.ketsdeverconstruction.com, thanks for your help!

    Hi rseaver06,

I think you were the one I was speaking with over on the wordpress forums. I see you got your theme updated 🙂

First item of business… did you get the child theme figured out and installed?

Also, I looked at your site, and the slider is in the left column, with sidebar to the right. Did you get this figured out?

Yep, that was me. Thanks again SO MUCH for your help Josh. There is so much to this and it seems like I keep taking 3 steps forward 2 steps back. I’m going to try to set up a “child” theme now so I can make sure I don’t get totally messed up again. I forgot that I had set up the “Super Cache” plug in, I think that may have prevented me from seeing the changes I made to the site right away. Not to sure what to do about that, or how to see updates right away.

    Thanks again!

You’re welcome. Be sure to check the first post in this thread for help with the stylesheet in your child theme.

We also have quite a few tutorials out there…

You are correct about the cache plugin. It will most likely need to be emptied anytime you make an adjustment.

Wow, this is getting a little old. Now I’m getting something entirely new and I don’t understand what it means. I attempted to create a child theme just by adding a new directory to the /themes folder and now I’m getting this:

Warning: require(admin/options-init.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /data/20/1/148/112/1963275/user/2143947/htdocs/wp-content/themes/graphene/functions.php on line 51

Warning: require(admin/options-init.php) [function.require]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /data/20/1/148/112/1963275/user/2143947/htdocs/wp-content/themes/graphene/functions.php on line 51

    … frustrated.

Fatal error: require() [function.require]: Failed opening required ‘admin/options-init.php’ (include_path=’.:/usr/services/vux/lib/php’) in /data/20/1/148/112/1963275/user/2143947/htdocs/wp-content/themes/graphene/functions.php on line 51
