Menu Problems
-
Okay, it works again. I just had a thought. What if I added a “more quests” as a submenu item then added half the original submenu items to the “more quests” hierarchy?
That way half the list would be right of the original list (Like if I replaced All Quests” with “More Quests”
Yeah! That’s a better idea. A long list in the nav menu is never ideal for a website.
Mind if I ask you a question completely unrelated to Graphene? I was advised to install wordpress in a subdir of my domain. But I want visitors to land on my subdir. Do you know how i would do that? I don’t want to do it right now because we’re still a ways from ‘going public’ but I’m clueless how do it other than using an html redirect that just looks tacky going in.
Yes, you can do that. Read this article on codex, – http://codex.wordpress.org/Giving_WordPress_Its_Own_Directory
WordPress my site is actually installed on a sub directory called /wordpressblog. When people visit prasannasp.net, WordPress serves them the files from /wordpressblog directory. It’s very simple. It involves copying of two files (index.php and .htaccess) to the root. And some tweaks in settings and index.php
Omg, that looks positively terrifying. I guess I’ll bookmark that for future reference. It really sounds like if I mess it up, it won’t be easy to fix.
I’ve got this installed in windows. (yes, I’ve been told I shouldn’t have done that… I didn’t know any better). So if I’m reading this right, i won’t have an .htaccess file.
It’s not that bad to try once. And more ever we are here to fix messed up things.. LOL.. 🙂
Let us know if you ever want to move your wordpress installation directory. We’ll help you to do so..
Yeah, it’s possible..
