Lol..but guys, IE9 has really come a long way since the days of IE6 and IE7. Thanks in no small part to Mozilla that started the initiative to build (much) better browsers.
I haven’t been experiencing the issues you guys mentioned on Firefox though. Using version 7.0.1 atm.
Hmmm… Look at this:

Go to mapquest.com
Move the map around… this usually causes my firefox to hang or quit.

I’ve moved it around and zoom in/out for a good 1 minute or so, and no crash or hang with Firefox.
OK I lied. Maybe 20 seconds or 30 seconds, but it didn’t crash. Just went back again and tried again, and no crash 🙂
All the while my computer is running World Community Grid computation in the background.
Well. It’s beyond me. I guess it’s about time to go out browser shopping. Man, I really hate to say bye to firefox 🙁
I will sadly be retiring Firefox. I can’t take it anymore.

And Chrome gives me an error which is unexplained by Google.
Soooo… I’m off to find something new.
Btw Syahir, remember about the extra white space in the coding?? I found that it was a setting in my ftp client. It had to do with binary and ascii transfers. It was set to auto, and I set it to ascii, and it fixed the issue.

Erm.. if both Firefox and Chrome are throwing out errors in your system, the source of the problem may lie in neither…
Have you googled around to see if other people are experiencing the same problem?
lol… right?!!
Well, last night I went out and bought a new hard drive. Then I reformatted my main drive. I installed a fresh OS onto the new drive. After installing my “basic” programs, I installed Firefox. Same issue.
Regarding Firefox… I have checked. And there are a few posts scattered here and there regarding the same issues… extreme memory usage, hanging and crashing, etc. But no solid solution. Some say to adjust in the about:config address.
Chrome won’t even connect to install. It’s possible it’s on my end… but unlikely. There are other users who experience the same issue, again with no solid solution.
Nothing has worked.
I just installed Opera 11.51 and I gotta say… I’m pretty in love with it already. I went back to mapquest and it worked like a charm. It even has an “inspect element” like Firefox.
