Help with using Market Press E-commerce and Graphene
-
Hi Syahir,
Thanks for taking the time to look into this for me.
I’ve sent you the details via the contact link provided.
Cheers
Martin
Hi Syahir Hakim,
Did you get my details with the logons? Will you be looking into correcting this issue?
Cheers
Martin
AdminHi Martin,
Yes, I did get the login details. Unfortunately I’ve been rather occupied since then. I’ll try to take a look at the issue soon.
AdminOK, took me about 2 hours to figure out how MarketPress generates that product listing page, which is rather weird in itself. It seems like MarketPress somehow replaces the content of the product listing page on the fly depending on the URL, but assigns 0 (or doesn’t assign any ID at all?) as the page ID. That causes all sorts of troubles with the theme, as page ID 0 is reserved by WordPress to mean the root page, so all other pages are children to that page, hence all the child pages were listed as well.
Anyways, was just ranting. I’ve created a separate page template for MarketPress use, with minimalist feature that’s enough for MarketPress to work. I’ve also implemented this in a child theme for you, so you won’t lose the changes when you update the theme.
Hi,
Sorry for the delay in replying.
Thank you for taking the time to resolve this. I’ve had a look and it seems to be working fine, THANK YOU.
I will potentially be using the Graphene theme in future on other sites. Is there a particular e-commerce plugin you would recommend?
I am actually having that same issue how do I fix it? http://www.techniprints.com is the website
Can you solve it for me too? I have a same issue at http://d-jing.com/store/products
Please Help!
So it looks like the Marketpress developers are blaming you for this problem:
Could you share your solution with us, so we can apply this fix ourselves? Would be great and thanks for your great theme!
Hi klos,
I wish I could give you a specific answer, but the solution is well beyond my current “know-how”.
I’m sure Syahir (developer) is very aware of this situation. Unfortunately, he has been consumed with his schooling and a research project (while still rolling out updates to the theme). He DOES continue to check in on the forum however, and he will post his opinion on here.
Hang tight.
