Graphene 1.8: Known Issues and Solutions

It’s much better to figure out why the dropdown menu doesn’t work for your particular site rather than reverting to a very, very old version. It’s not just because you’ll be missing out on new features, but also because there might be some important security fixes as well.
Provide the URL to your site so that we can take a look.
Hello Syahir! Thanks, yes, that makes sense, Im happy with everything else as it is though, well, here is the URL showing where the drop down menu ended up: http://shailla.com/yes/photos/ You will see that all those pages on the bottom are set under “photos” page as parent, I even created a testing page to double check if I did something wrong on the others, but still ended up down the page…. if you can decipher the mystery will be awesome, because as much as I want to let it go, I just keep going back to it again and again trying to figure out… Talk more soon! Thank you! Shailla

That is actually a feature of the theme, which lists all the child pages of a page at the bottom. That’s totally separate from the navigation menu at the top.
If you’re using the WordPress Custom Menu feature, you will need to manually add the child pages to the custom menu you’re using. For more info Custom Menu, check out this tutorial by Ken:

Hello Syahir, Thank you, that explains all, thanks for sending the tutorial, I did it that way then, and now drop down menu is there, but must say, somehow it looks better on the older version of the theme, I dont know why, all I know is that I never had any mystery with the older version and I will keep as it is, because it works nice and smooth, I love the old one 🙂 if you’re curious, here is the drop down menu for this site now: http://shailla.com/yes/photos/ and here is the drop down menu for the older version site: http://bradfittwillbemine.com/ (drop down menu for that one is also under “photos”) Thank you very much for looking into that! Have a great weekend! 🙂

Wow, your dropdown menu width is too narrow. Go to Graphene Options > Display > Navigation Menu Options, and try insert “200” for the Dropdown menu width option.
Oooooh! thats what it was! Another mystery solved! Nothing better than the sharp eyes of the creators!!!! Now it looks perfect!!! You guys are awesome!!!! Thank you so much!!!! 🙂
Hello,
I just updated to 1.8.1 and now my fonts all changed and don’t look good. Also the font for the first post looks different from the fonts for the other posts, although I created them all as “Heading 1”.
I can’t remember exactly what version I had before this – I think it was 1.7.3? How do I go back to the old version?
Thanks,
Valerie
Hi Syahir, I uploaded Graphene last week but couldn’t have the system display a header image of my own. Images are definitely uploaded and filed on Media Library but for some reason are NOT displayed at Appearance/Header WP screen for Graphene nor at web page either. I am using a PNG 960 x 100 file. What am I doing wrong?
