yeah, using 1.5.3. And yes, I have a lot of plug-ins installed. I don’t mind uninstalling them if it will solve the problem. Here is what I have installed:
– addthis
– adsense for wordpress
– akismet
– banckle live chat
– counterize
– fast secure contact form
– flash gallery
– gogadget weather
– jetpack
– meta tag manager
– nextgen gallery
– price-calc
– simple meta tags
– tippy
– w3 total cache
– wp customer reviews
– wp featured content slider
– wp photo album plus
– youtube simple gallery
Now, looking at it, that is a lot!
It’s definitely got nothing to do with your computer or any settings on your computer. It’s browser/isp/server related (or maybe a mixture of all three).
I was a Firefox fan but I am no fan of version 6. It takes forever for it to load up. I think they might have gone to version 7 recently? I’m afraid to go near it.
Google on the other hand, loads instantaneously. I love it.
Josh, sorry to butt in here, but I have the same problem ALL the time with many CMS built websites using Google Chrome. I thought maybe it was my service provider. And I still think it has something to do with my ISP. I could be wrong. What happens is that a site that I want to view will take some time to load and then will eventually give up. If I leave it for 5 minutes, it will then load as if nothing happened before. It’s really weird.

I actually forgot that you can’t assign categories to pages but what I did was create a new post and assigned it to a category, then tried what you said but it still doesn’t work.
Hi Josh, you know I haven’t set categories to those pages. I’ll assign them to categories and then try that option and will return with an update.
FYI: I am using pages as opposed to posts for my slider. This was working fine up until recently.
Thanks for that Ken. I wasn’t sure if I should start another thread. I’ve also looked through the forum but none of the suggestions seemed to work for me.
So, I’ve turned on the slider now.
My settings are as follows:
– show specific posts/pages
– I’ve listed 3 pages currently (31,33,35)
– I’ve a slider speed of 6000
– I’ve a slider transition speed of 300

Hi, I am having a different issue to courtyboy. My slider just stopped working one day and has not worked since. The Graphene theme has updated twice since and I’ve updated to the latest version hoping that it would resolve the problem. It hasn’t.
I’ve also uninstalled plugins and whatnot but to no avail.
What is happening is that the slider just won’t slide. I have 4 pages that I want to slide but it remains stuck on the first one.
The website in question is http://www.westirelandcycling.com
In the interim, I have installed a third party plug-in to use as a slider but it’s just not as good.
Any help you guys can provide would be greatly appreciated.
