Hi Syahir,
Updating to the latest version of your theme gave me a shock… all the text on the main page were going negative on the padding / margin. Anyway, what I realised was that I needed to remove lots of my own child CSS.
Which I think is way cool!
Thanks for the update!
David
Hi Syahir,
Thanks for the update.. it surprised me a little since the visuals changed, but nothing some minor tweaking of the CSS didn’t fix.
I have a question though, I notice that when I scroll vertically in Firefox (using the mouse wheel), the scroll seems ‘heavy’. But in Chrome (my main browser), it behaves normally. Any reason for this?
I disabled the Javascript slider and the scroll is ok again. Is this due to Firefox’s less advance Javascript engine?

Hi Syahir,
Thanks, it works now. Do you accept donations via Maybank2U?

Hi Syahir,
Just updated to 1.1.3… after updating I couldn’t access my admin screen. I replaced the functions.php with an older version and it could load. Here’s the error log:
[08-Jan-2011 00:20:03] PHP Fatal error: Call to undefined function graphene_title() in /wp-content/themes/graphene/header.php on line 15
Perhaps it’s not related to 1.1.3, just a coincidence?
David
Code added. And it works! Thanks! I will try changing the default headers next.. 😀
Such a coincidence that I chose a theme designed by a fellow Malaysian! haha…
BTW, I linked to your website from mine. Hope you don’t mind.
Ok.. I will give it a shot.
And thanks again! 🙂
BTW, are you Malaysian?
Basically I copied the entire functions.php and only edited the 900px to 1024px. I gather I’m not supposed to do that?
Sjaak,
Good work! Glad I was able to help.
Syahir,
When I loaded the functions.php, the entire blog failed to load. Am I doing something wrong here?
Thanks,
David
Hi Syahir,
Thanks for the information, I’ll try it out and see… 😀

Hi Sjaak,
As advised by Syahir, I used Firebug to examine the classes used in the page and then identified the CSS responsible for the widths. For the width of the entire content section, it is 900px wide. So this mostly involves looking at the CSS and changing anything that is 900px to 1024px (in my case). Please remember that this version of the CSS should be saved in the graphene-child folder. Then you also have to modify the content widths accordingly. Also, you don’t have to copy all of the existing CSS, just the ones you want to change.
The only php I had to change can be found in functions.php found in the root of the graphene folder. This involved again, changing 900 to 1024.
There is one more bit I’ve yet to work out (with my limited CSS knowledge), and that’s the shadow used on either side of the container, sprite_v.png. If I ever sort that out, I’ll update here.
Syahir,
Yes, I agree it now has more space for content. Thanks again for the great work done on the theme. The clearly laid out CSS and PHP made the process much easier!
Regards,
David
